About Me: Rosetta Washington

Wholesome Approach _RW Headshot.png

Growing up Rosetta faced hardships, adversity, and turmoil. She came from a long family history of instability due to substance use and physical abuse. Raised and nurtured by her grandparents and immediate family Rosetta learned that she was resilient. The experiences of others such as, dropping out of school, teenage pregnancy, and homelessness were fears of Rosetta. Rosetta had a strong support system of influential people who gifted her with love and support. As a result, she was able to beat the odds, protect her self-worth, and pursue her goals.

Rosetta graduated from Charlotte High School as class Valedictorian in 2008. During her high school career Rosetta earned numerous academic awards and scholarships towards her college education. While in high school Rosetta worked as Rental Agent and also served as the Student Representative for the Rochester City School District Board of Education (NY).

Rosetta graduated from the University of New Haven in May 2012. Rosetta majored in criminal justice, with a concentration in juvenile & family justice and a minor in psychology. Since November 2010, Rosetta has worked as a Social Worker. Rosetta held management positions such as Customer Service Supervisor, Program Coordinator and Program  Supervisor. With years of experience working  for a non-profit organization, Rosetta’s caseloads and supervisions dealt with youth and adult populations. In 2017 Rosetta completed certification courses at Branford Academy of Cosmetology and Hair with a specialization in makeup artistry and airbrush makeup.

Rosetta graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from Southern Connecticut State University in May 2020.
